Thomas Tuchel’s position at Bayern Munich doesn’t seem to be under immediate threat, despite some disappointing results.
Following the defeat against Lazio (1-0) last Wednesday, Bayern Munich finds itself in a delicate position regarding qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals. However, according to Bild, the coach of the German club, Thomas Tuchel, doesn’t appear to be under pressure just yet.
Although Tuchel faced criticism after the loss to Leverkusen (3-0) in the Bundesliga the previous weekend, the Bayern leadership believes that the team still has the means to turn things around in the league. Currently, with only a 5-point gap behind the leader Bayer, the Rekordmeister has room to maneuver to reverse the trend against Lazio in three weeks.
As for Thomas Tuchel, the former Paris Saint-Germain coach, he is still exploring potential exit routes, just in case. He has reportedly contacted Barcelona as part of his contingency plan.
