Tensions seem to be emerging between Argentina’s captain, Lionel Messi, and coach Lionel Scaloni.
According to local radio TN, Messi was reportedly upset that Scaloni had concealed his weariness and desires to leave, implied after Argentina’s victory over Brazil on November 22.
Messi is said to have learned about Scaloni’s feelings from someone else. A meeting between Scaloni and Messi took place, lasting only 32 seconds, after which the number 10 reportedly left the meeting on his own initiative. For now, Scaloni remains in his position, but his future seems uncertain.
