Zinédine Zidane’s name has emerged as one of the potential candidates for the position of head coach of the German national football team.

Hansi Flick was dismissed from his role as Germany’s national team coach, marking a historic first. To replace him, there are several candidates, including some notable ones. Bild has mentioned the unlikely name of Zinedine Zidane, although it seems that this move is unlikely to happen. Nonetheless, the former Real Madrid coach has expressed interest in coaching a national team for the upcoming Euro.

Bild then shifts to a more serious tone and suggests that Julian Nagelsmann is considered the favorite for the role. Rudi Völler, the team’s director and interim coach during the match against France, could potentially stay in his position.

Other names mentioned include Jürgen Klopp (currently with Liverpool), Matthias Sammer (a sports director), Miroslav Klose (a young coach), Jürgen Klinsmann (Germany’s coach from 2004 to 2006, currently leading South Korea), and Lothar Matthäus (a TV consultant for the past 10 years).

Additionally, Dutchman Louis van Gaal (who is supposed to be retired at the age of 72) and Austrian Oliver Glasner (recently linked to Lyon) are also on the list of potential candidates.
