Erling Haaland was posed with a choice during the Ballon d’Or ceremony, regarding his future goal celebration – a nod to Gary Lineker or a tribute to Didier Drogba.

Despite a strong performance, the Norwegian striker missed out on the Ballon d’Or on Monday night, with Lionel Messi securing his eighth prestigious award. However, Haaland’s evening was not without recognition, as he was presented with the Gerd Muller Trophy for the best striker of the year, in recognition of his outstanding season with Manchester City.

While on the stage, Didier Drogba playfully challenged him to replicate either his own or Gary Lineker’s iconic goal celebration following his next goal.
