AC Milan, currently going through a challenging period in the league with only one victory since early October, has also faced setbacks in the Champions League, jeopardizing its chances of progressing to the next phase – and it could spell economic disaster.
AC Milan is on the brink. The club risks elimination in the Champions League group stage, and this would have significant economic consequences for the team.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, such an early exit would cost AC Milan approximately €113 million in TV rights, UEFA bonuses for reaching the round of 16, and ticket sales revenue (around €68 million).
In addition to this short-term loss, the club would miss out on participating in the Club World Cup in June 2025, potentially yielding up to €45 million. This would represent a significant blow both in terms of sporting achievement and financial impact for the Italian club.
