Paul Pogba tested positive for testosterone following the first Serie A matchday on August 20th. He is currently provisionally suspended pending the counter-analysis of the sample taken during his doping control. His agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is fighting back.
She asserts that Paul Pogba « never intended to break the rules » and wishes to « await the counter-analysis » of the sample taken during his doping control to prepare his defense properly.
However, if the positivity is confirmed, an investigation will follow, and Pogba will have to convince the Anti-Doping Tribunal that he inadvertently consumed the substance, risking up to four years of suspension according to the World Anti-Doping Code.
