Manchester United continues to endure a tough period in the Premier League this season. In the 7th round of the league, the Red Devils suffered their fourth defeat in seven matches, this time against Crystal Palace.

This string of losses marks the worst start to a season for the club in 34 years. The last time Manchester United had such a challenging beginning to a season was back in the 1989-90 season under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

During that time, the team also endured four losses by the end of September. Despite this difficult period, the Red Devils eventually finished in 13th place in the Premier League but went on to win the FA Cup by defeating Crystal Palace in the final.

Currently, Manchester United sits in 10th place in the Premier League standings, already six points behind the 4th place held by Aston Villa. Furthermore, the Red Devils are nine points behind their local rivals, Manchester City, despite City’s loss to Wolves on Saturday. A challenging season lies ahead for Manchester United as they aim to turn things around in the coming weeks.
