Toni Kroos, who decided to retire at the end of last season, has not completely closed the door on football.

According to Relevo, the 34-year-old former midfielder of Real Madrid has registered with UEFA to obtain his coaching license. While he has initiated this process, Kroos is still uncertain about fully committing to a coaching career.

He expressed that he wants to be « prepared, just in case. » Kroos previously mentioned that one of the reasons for his retirement was fatigue from travel and hotel life, stating, « As a coach, I would return to that life. You travel a lot, so it’s not my main idea, although you should never say never, » he said in an interview with *Bild* last August. Has he already changed his mind about pursuing coaching?
