Olympique de Marseille, in search of a potential successor to Pablo Longoria, may be considering Julien Fournier, former general manager of OGC Nice, for the president position.
Fournier had previously engaged in discussions with the camp of owner Frank McCourt in June, as part of talks with Saudi Arabian investors, but negotiations fell through due to McCourt’s high financial demands.
Julien Fournier already has past experience within OM as the general secretary from 2004 to 2009. According to L’Equipe, he is well-positioned to replace the current president.
