Dani Alves, accused of sexual assault by a 23-year-old woman he met in a nightclub in Barcelona last December, remains in prison.
Now, his ex-wife is taking him to court. Dinora Santana, the former wife of Dani Alves, has reportedly filed a complaint against the footballer to prevent him from speaking and contacting their two children, Victoria and Daniel, according to AS.
Santana allegedly felt that she was being used by Alves’ lawyers, who would have dictated what she should say. This new complaint further complicates Dani Alves’ already delicate situation.
« His children have not seen him since May 6. Since then, he wants nothing to do with us. These are his children (…) All of this is because his wife was very hurt by his infidelity and wanted to leave him. No one could defend him; who was going to defend him? His family? He has no credibility. Then they told me to defend him (…) I take medication, and for me, he is dead. What I want is for him to leave me alone and leave the children alone. Let him sort out his life… The sooner he gets out of prison, the better my children will live. »
